Congratulations Democrats – Here’s Your New Senator

I don’t even want to know what he’s doing to that stuffed bear.

That said, I’m putting every single libtard on notice – Your complaining days are officially over. None of you – especially you morons in Minnesota – have a right to complain about anything anymore. You have your wish. A bulletproof socialist government. And as this country continues to go down the toilet, just remember – You caused it.

THE EPA Report on AGW: We Don’t Know

Posted by: Gribbit  //  Category: Blog Entries, General, Gribbit, Guest Contributors, News

In the wake of the overwhelming stupidity shown by 219 members of the House of Representatives on Friday in passing the energy bill without doing a cost to benefit analysis on any portion of the bill, we today have access to a quashed report drafted at the EPA on the uncertainties over man made global warming climate change.

From the report:

We have become increasingly concerned that the EPA and many other agencies and countries have paid too little attention to the science of global warming. EPA and other have tended to accept the findings reached by outside groups, particularly the IPCC and the CCSP, as being correct without a careful and critical examination of their conclusions and documentation. If they should be found to be incorrect at a later date, however, and the EPA is found not to have made a really careful review of them before reaching its decisions on endangerment, it appears likely that it is the EPA rather than these groups that may be blamed for this error.

It seems to me that anyone who may have read this report, and this paragraph in particular, then decided to ignore the author’s observations and go with the IPCC and CCSP reports is a fraud. From the opening paragraph of the preface, the author of this document that the Obama friendly EPA leadership chose to hide, it is evident that there is someone within the organization who knows better than to accept blithely conclusions reached by individuals who may have had an agenda. It seems only prudent, that the EPA – an agency of the US government – would have done independent studies to either confirm or disprove the results of the IPCC and CCSP reports. Failing to do so opens the EPA and the government of the United States up to all kinds of difficulties when those conclusions are found to be fraudulent. Prudence alone warrants an independent study. But they didn’t do that.

That said however, the next line is THE most telling –

We do not maintain that we or anyone else have all the answers to take action now.

I’m sorry, but if you plan on supporting legislation that has the potential to put 2.5 million American people out of work per year, I think that you have an obligation to know all the answers before voting on said legislation. But then again we ARE talking about a process that allows the bill’s manager to submit an amendment to the bill in excess of 300 pages at 3:09am the day of the vote.

Instead of releasing this report before the vote on the Cap and Tax scheme proposed by the President and authored by Waxman, Pelosi, et al, the EPA failed to protect the American people in favor of a political agenda regardless of the science involved.

The report goes on to state in the Executive Summery …

The current TSD is based largely on the IPCC AR4 report, which is at best three years out of date in a rapidly changing field. There have been important developments in areas that deserve careful attention in this draft. The list includes the following five:

  • Global temperatures have declined – extending the current downtrend to 11 years with a particularly rapid decline in 1907-08 (I believe this was supposed to be dated 2007-08); in addition, the PDO went negative in September, 2007 and the AMO in January, 2009, respectively. At the same time atmospheric CO2 levels have continued to increase and CO2 emissions have accelerated.
  • The consensus on past, present, and future Atlantic hurricane behavior has changed. Initially, it tilted towards the idea that anthropogenic global warming is leading to (and will lead to) to more frequent and intense storms. Now the consensus is much more neutral, arguing that future Atlantic tropical cyclones will be little different that those in the past.
  • The idea that the warming temperatures will cause Greenland to rapidly shed its ice has been greatly diminished by new results indicating little evidence for the operation of such processes.
  • One of the worst economic recessions since World War II has greatly decreased GHG emissions compared to the assumptions made by the IPCC. To the extent that ambient GHG levels are relevant for future global temperatures, these emission reductions should greatly influence the adverse effects of these emissions on public health and welfare. The current draft TSP does not reflect the changes that have already occurred nor those that are likely to occur in the future as a result of the recession. In fact, the topic is not even discussed to our knowledge.
  • A new 2009 paper finds that the crucial assumption in the GCM models used by the IPCC concerning stongly positive feedback from water vapor is not supported by empirical evidence and that the feedback is actually negative.
  • A new 2009 paper by Scafetta and West suggests that the IPCC used faulty solar data in dismissing the direct effect of solar variability on global temperatures. Their research suggest that solar variability could account for up to 68% of the increase in the Earth’s global temperatures.
  • These six developments alone should greatly influence any assessment of “vulnerability, risk, and impacts” of climate change within the U.S. But these are just a few of the new developments since 2006. Therefore, the extensive portions of the EPA’s Endangerment TSD which are based on the old science are no longer appropriate and need to be revisited before a new TSD is issued for comments.

This document is an indictment of the EPA’s complicity in the global conspiracy known as anthropogenic global climate change or as I refer to it as – The Church of Global Warming of Modern Day Idiots.

Failure to release this document prior to the US House vote on Friday for the members to digest prior to voting on legislation which has the potential to destroy the lives of nearly 310 million people borders on the criminal. It is my wish that those within the agency responsible for the suppression of this document to be brought to public light and charged in the court of public opinion.

However, knowing what we know about the current Presidential Infestation, they would more likely get a medal by the Commander-in-Thief.

    Cap And Healthcare?

Posted by: RedStateJD  //  Category: Blog Entries, News, RedStateJD

Well what a week!  Two weeks actually, since my last post!  It’s been a whirlwind of topics come and gone in that time.  That’ll learn me to be lazy!

I was utterly appalled last night when I learned that the Cap and Trade (Cap and Tax?) bill passed the house.  I was not surprised, with the clear democrat majority, but I was surprised at the number.  Close to thirty democrats voted against it, and eight republicans voted for it.  I know exactly what that does and does not mean.  It does not mean that 30 democrats voted their conscious and went against their party’s core religious belief of Global Warming.  (Ugh!  More on that in a moment.)  I believe that there were thirty or so democrats who were voted in, in largely republican or conservative districts that they felt would be in danger of being ousted when people get ticked off at how much their electrical bills skyrocket.  Half of the country gets their electricity from coal.  When this bill goes into effect, it will double and triple the cost of power to people in coal-fire areas just so the companies can stay in business.

They voted strategically.  If it didn’t pass once, they could always pass it again with their clear majority.  They have the numbers do to so easily.  The eight republicans who turned, should be ousted.  I’m not such a blanket-conservative that I want more Arlen Spector’s in the party.  I’d rather make way for a Marco Rubio (www.marcorubio.com) or a Chris Lee. (chrislee.house.gov)  But no matter.  They got their thirty pieces of silver I’m sure.  I just hope they don’t act surprised when they get sucker punched by the Romulans, ermm, I mean democrats.  They should not act surprised when the Republicans don’t show them they love anymore either.

This Cap’n Tax Bill is in effect, the largest tax increase in American history.  It could eliminate up to 2.5 million jobs, and will double and in some cases triple the cost of a families energy bill.  There are cleaner and more efficient ways of producing electricity here in the Twenty-first century.  It’s called nuclear power.  Of course this is a big huge evil horrible environmental issue that once hurt some ducks in Russia, so we can’t have any of that!!!

The French have 70 percent of their power in cheap clean nuclear reactors, and we have less that 25 percent?  Please explain that to me god!

Anyone who wants to open a new coal plant will be crippled by the taxes.  Those in existence will not be able to support their current work force.  They will have so many new taxes that it will raise the prices of electricity for everyone else.  Businesses and families will suffer.  Some will have their lights out, or have to go without heat in the winter.

All of this is in the name of Global Warming.  Oh whoops!  Sorry!  I got this memo here, it’s now called ‘climate change’ since global warming cannot be proven after fifteen years of hard research.  Nowadays there are more scientists who are against it than are for it.  They are not let into the debates.  Only a regime with something to fear does not welcome in the opposing side.  Those who know they are right, have nothing to fear from hearing the opposing view.  Those who do not stand on sturdy ground do not wish to be rocked, as they might slip and fall.

More scientists are turning their backs on the idea of global warming.  In fact more and more now believe that the Earth might be moving into a ‘global cooling period’ where temperatures might drop.  This is not because of man-made activity, but because of the natural cycle of the planet.  For years the sun has been spewing off gigantic solar flares, that were causing temperatures to rise across the entire solar system.  (They even melted the ice oceans of Jupiter’s moon Europa, which is twice the distance of the sun from us…Oh hell, can’t be related right?)

In the 1970’s they wanted us to believe in a man made form of climate change.  It was believed that the oceans were melting, the atmosphere was in danger, and we would all be starving.  The only answer was to cut down on our factories and limit our population.  They called it:  Global Cooling!  Well, long story short no one believed that bunch of Bulls**t, so they repackaged it and sold it to us again as Global Warming.  Now they just call it climate change.  What a wonderfully passive phrase.  It doesn’t sound like it means anything, yet it does!  The climate is changing!  I guess our coal plants that employ thousands and thousands of people cause the last ice age to melt too, twenty thousand years ago.  I guess the Neanderthals went extinct because of gasoline and coal, not because of the receding woodlands and cold habitat of Europe that they were built for.

Environmental change has wiped out civilizations and animals of all kinds for thousands and thousands of years.  This is the way of things.  You would figure that all of these people who are so hot for nature would understand it.  They believe in evolution, one of the definitions of which is ‘change over time.’  Why can that not include the planet?

Time to go save some money.  It’ll be nice to have to pay higher taxes.  The democrats have told me I like doing that.  ::rolling eyes::

Oh yeah!  I almost forgot!  There was another thing to my title.  Socialized Healthcare.  Just Say No!  :)

Today on ‘As The GOP Searches’…

Posted by: Gribbit  //  Category: Blog Entries, General, Gribbit, Guest Contributors, News

… Two top GOP contenders for 2012 face personal scandal but who, if anyone, will be the most likely contender to unseat the Man with the Middle Name Hussein? Stay tuned to ‘As The GOP Searches’.

Here are a few things that I do know about the NEEDED candidate for 2012. He (or She) will have to be a fiscal Conservative. First there was Bush who, in the aftermath of September 11th, shed any semblance of fiscal conservatism and began to spend like a Democrat. He failed to reign in spending through his veto pen and allowed the federal government to grow.

Then, in their infinite stupidity, the American people saw fit to follow a spender with an even bigger spender. Barack (Barry) Hussein Obama is spending money like a horn-dog in a strip club. He’s bleeding money out of the private sector at a rate that is unsustainable. As he makes claim after claim that his agenda is geared to create jobs, the states are hemorrhaging jobs daily. The national unemployment rate is nearing 10% and many states like Ohio and Michigan have long since passed that mark.

Yesterday, the US House passed his ‘Cap and Tax’ plan which will shed millions of additional jobs from our economy and raise the cost of living on EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN HOUSEHOLD. So much for only raising taxes on the rich and giving 95% of Americans a tax cut huh Mr. President?!? If this guy had a brain he’d simply be stupid but as he is he’s more dangerous than Kim Jong Mentally Ill, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and even Osama bin Laden.

The man (or woman) that is chosen to replace this destructive “person” (for the lack of a better word) will definitely have to have the knowledge and capability to turn around all of Obama’s harmful initiatives. But who will that be? Your guess is as good as mine.

If America learned anything from the GOP primary in 2008, Mitt Romney has the ability to make lemonade out of lemons. Obama is leaving the American people will little more than said lemons. I would not be surprised in Mr. Romney is called on by the American people to pick up the pieces left by this living, breathing, example of the accuracy of the Peter Principle. Would you?

Peter Principle - Theory that people rise in their career in every hierarchy to the level of their own incompetence; based on the book The Peter Principle and Why Things Always Go Wrong by Lawrence J. Peter. Work in organizations is accomplished by those employees who have not yet reached their level of incompetence. SOURCE

All this being true, the GOP should not be engaged in 2012 speculation. Now, it should be concentrating on taking back a majority in both houses of Congress. After yesterday’s vote in the House on ‘Cap and Tax’, both houses are poised for a dramatic shift. 43 Democrat members of Congress helped secure their re-election possibilities while 8 so-called Republicans shot theirs all to hell. Knowing that had these 8 turn-coats held the line, ‘Cap and Tax’ would have failed the American people may not be willing to forgive those who turned their backs on them. Let us hope not anyway.

In 2010, any Republican who has sided with SanFranNan at any time during this session of Congress should be called out and held accountable by the Party and the People.

House Squeeks Cap and Tax Through

Posted by: Gribbit  //  Category: Blog Entries, General, Gribbit, Guest Contributors, News

The US House of Representatives ignored the American people today and voted 219 – 212 to pass THE largest tax increase in American history. Let’s not mince words. If enacted, this national energy bill will do nothing to spark job creation in the midst of the most punishing recession in more than a generation. On the contrary. It would install massive taxes on the middle class and the poor, put millions out of work, and shift those jobs over-seas where these punitive taxes aren’t imposed. It will do nothing to stem greenhouse gas emissions because these companies will out-source operations to nations which have no emission standards at all. In other words, the United States House of Representatives approved a bill which will shift the US economy (what’s left of it) to India and China.

In all, eight Republicans turned their backs on the American people and sided with the Democrat leadership. They are…

  • Reichert-Washington–8th District
  • Bono-California–45th District
  • Castle-Delaware–
  • Kirk-Illinois–10th District
  • Lance-New Jersey–7th District (who has a whole section on his website on how to reduce gas prices!!)
  • LoBiondo-New Jersey–2nd District
  • McHugh-New York–23rd District
  • Smith-New Jersey–4th District
  • The good news is – and yes there is some (very little but some) good news – 43 Democrats voted against this bill including one of THE most liberal on the Hill. And they are…

  • Altmire-Pennsylvania
  • Arcuri-New York
  • Barrow-Georgia
  • Berry-Arkansas
  • Boren-Oklahoma
  • Bright-Alabama
  • Carney-Pennsylvania
  • Childers-Mississippi
  • Costa-California
  • Costello-Illinois
  • Dahlkemper-Pennsylvania
  • Davis-Alabama
  • Davis-Tennessee
  • DeFazio-Oregon
  • Donnelly-Indiana
  • Edwards-Texas
  • Ellsworth-Indiana
  • Foster-Illinois
  • Griffith-Alabama
  • Herseth Sandlin-South Dakota
  • Holden-Pennsylvania
  • Kirkpatrick-Arizona
  • Kissell-North Carolina
  • Kucinich-Ohio
  • Marshall-Georgia
  • Massa-New York
  • Matheson-Utah
  • McIntyre-North Carolina
  • Melancon-Louisiana
  • Minnick-Idaho
  • Mitchell-Arizona
  • Mollohan-West Virginia
  • Ortiz-Texas
  • Pomeroy-North Dakota
  • Rahall-West Virginia
  • Rodriguez-Texas
  • Ross-Arkansas
  • Salazar-Colorado
  • Stark-California
  • Tanner-Tennessee
  • Taylor-Mississippi
  • Visclosky-Indiana
  • Wilson-Ohio
  • The big surprise was Kucinich.

I didn’t think Denny had a brain cell still alive but he has surprised me with his sudden exhibition of lucidity. Way to go Denny.

Let’s face it folks, these 43 Democrats are all up for re-election next year and they don’t want this one bill to sink their chances for re-election. Most of these Dems are from heartland states. States where electricity is delivered via coal fired plans. To vote for this tax would be political suicide for these guys and they know it. What surprises me is that 219 members of Congress who voted for this bill are also up for re-election. And I hope that the people know what they’ve done. Especially those 8 so-called Republicans.

With out these 8 defectors, this bill would have been defeated 220 -211. Their constituents need to hold them accountable. If there is any justice in the world, these 8 will be defeated in next year’s primaries. I certainly hope that there are some prospective candidates in these districts waiting to defeat them – because they will.

Now Cap and Tax moves on to the US Senate where all it will take is enough defections to prevent cloture. Unless Obama and Reid conspire to bypass Senate rules. In which case, if enough Democrats defect as the above 43 have, a simple majority may not be possible.

Let the lobbying of the Senate begin.

Note: A special thanks goes out to Butch Porter of the American Conservative Party for the information on which Republican members voted for and which Democrats voted against.

    Sharia Finance-The Quiet Jihad

Posted by: allysonrt  //  Category: Allyson Rowen Taylor, Blog Entries, Guest Contributors, News

Terrorism has many faces. The bombing of the SS Cole, The World Trade Center, and the murder of Leon Klinghoffer in the Mediterranean. This is terror we can see, smell, and fear. But there is a new kind of terror that is invading the West, and it is clean, invisible to the smell, and seems savory in the way it is being marketed. This new terror is Shariah Finance. This is a way of banking that is growing rapidly in the Gulf, Britain, France, and the United States,Hong Kong, and worldwide due to the bulging pockets of burgeoning wealth from the profits of petrodollars. Every time we fill our gas tanks, we are not only contributing to the pollution of our air, we are funding terror in an insidious way that will effect us long after we go “green”.

The London Nasdaq, stock exchanges, Loehmanns, Barneys, Travelodge, Madame Tussauds, Citibank, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, and Caribou Coffee are just a few well known names that now belong to the Kingdom of Dubai, Studies have put the total value of Islamic equity funds in the Gulf Region at about thirty (30) billion dollars. This is from a study by Khaled al -Masri, a partner is asset management at the Dubai based Rasmala Investments.

Products like “Interest Free Loans” are being offered at banks nationwide, and they are attracting not only the Muslim investor, but others who think that this is a service that circumvents having to pay the bank interest. However, it is just another way of structuring a loan that was not inspired by the Koran, but developed by the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1920’s.  Due to marketing, and companies like Goldman Sachs, Lehmann Brothers, Och-Ziff and others, the tantalizing smell of money trumps the security of the United States and our freedoms. The issue is not the way the loans are structured, it is that they are structured to follow the tenants of Shariah Law. Many of the laws of Shariah are benign, however when one reads into the laws, issues such as stoning, beheadings, amputations, and honor killings are also part of the Shariah. In addition, there is a requirement in the laws to “cleanse” the “haram” (filth) from the “infidels: (non Muslims) by donating a portion of the interest made to Zakat (charity). We have no records as to what these charities are. Could they support Hezbollah? Iran? HAMAS?, or other groups that are determined to undermine western democracy. There is no due diligence, nor transparency in these bonds and loans, so it is a mystery as to what is being done with profits made via the “Infidels”. Has the SEC looked into these loans and bonds to see if due diligence is being done?

The basic principal of Islamic funds bans them  from investing in companies associated with tobacco, alcohol, pornography, tabloids, pork or gambling These are all considered taboo by religious Muslims.  In addition, countries like Israel, and products developed in Israel can also be forbidden. Boycotts of products develped in Israel have already been initiated, but major economic santions could be placed on the Jewish state by the UAE and Europe.  Drug companies are not immune from laws of Sharia, and investments in companies that do stem cell research, or birth control will also be banned. Any products that are deemed “Haram” will be subject to the issues of Shariah.  We must not just look at the moral issues of alcohol or gambling, but how this type of finance can have an impact on the development of life saving drugs as the investments of Shariah firms move into areas that do research.  Truckers that carry pork can be affected, the suppliers of the paper that supplies the tabloids can be affected, thereby causing loss of jobs, and financial ruin, and then offering the Gulf companies bargain priced property, businessness, and a foothold into American and Western society.  This is the danger, this is the goal.

Dubai, while run as a Kingdom, and a playground for the rich and famous worldwide holds double standards in its promotion of Shariah Law. While French, British, and Russian women sit on the beaches in bikinis, and the sex slave trade is proliferating, homosexuals are jailed,  women are being stoned, and the money made off the infidels is cleansed by Shariah Laws. Dubai, has also invested in hotels in Las Vegas, but do not let this fool you. The desire for money and the moral dilemma posed by Islam seems to disappear when big money is available. As the Zakat (charity) dividends help supply “orphans” and other undisclosed entities, we risk our dollars going to fund the insurgents and suppliers of terror in the “cleaning process”. In this type of investment, the end does justify the means.

Investments in the Islamic Finance Industry worldwide are now worth about $700 BILLION dollars. Moody’s Investor Services estimated this in a report put out in February 2008. The countries that are the largest contributors to Shariah Finance are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar,Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and Dubai. These countries have seen this type of growth due to the rise of oil prices that we are now paying for. Every increase in the price of gas at the pump is a step closer to a life under Shariah law.  A report by the investment firm of Morgan Stanley in February , 2008 put the outstanding Sukuk (bonds) market worth more than $90 billion dollars, and a projection that by 2010 it will be worth over 200 Billion dollars.  While this is good news for the investors, the risk of Shariah law and the changes to the way we live our lives will be changed with this new system of finance.

The main problem is that the lure of riches, bigger homes in the Hamptons, private islands and Gulfsteam jets has the banks, investment houses and hedgefunders panting with desire while the future of our democracy, our children’s future lives will be impacted by this insidious form of financial terrorism.

    Swept Under The Persian Rug

Posted by: YoungGunConservative  //  Category: Blog Entries, General, Guest Contributors, YoungGunConservative

With the farce that was the presidential elections in Iran about 2 weeks ago, it is amazing to see how silent and “laissez faire” the current administration occupying the White House is. The same man that was talking about hope and change, and how we were going to strengthen our ties with the world? The same man, who is a self declared “citizen of the world”, is standing idly by while thousands of people are doing the most courageous thing in a country, where it is considered treason to speak out against the government, and are protesting the hideous and deceitful actions of a madmen and their puppet, akIranian_presidential_election,_2009,_protests_(1)a Mahmoud Ahmedinejad?

And where is the press, such as ABC (All Barry Channel) to make sure that their fearless leader is not perceived as a coward? People across the country are watching the videos of the youth taking on the thugs in the streets, preaching for a free and democratic Iran, and White House is staying mum?

Where is the man that said he would stand for his principles that he was raised by? America needs a true leader, not an empty suit with a teleprompter as his voice. Empty promises will not get you in the good graces of your constituents. Narcissists need not apply to the job of Commander-in-Chief, especially one that is itching at the bit to slash the military budget, while we have enemies at the gates.

It is time to wake up, America. The people of Iran are being arrested, beaten, threatened and put to death for what they believe is right. Do not allow any atrocity, whether abroad or here at home, to be swept under the rug. Expose it. Iranians are marching to gain their freedom. Shouldn’t we?
