To this point the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW has enjoyed unrealistic approval ratings but those numbers are beginning to show signs that the orgasmic love affair is over. The state run media – credit Rush Limbaugh for the term – can no longer contain public opinion and the people are beginning to sober up.

Former Clinton adviser and political commentator Dick Morris tackles this subject in his latest article in The Hill.

According to a Rasmussen poll, more voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats to handle the economy, by a margin of 45-39. Scott Rasmussen notes that “this is the first time in over two years of polling that the GOP has held the advantage on this issue.” Last month, he had the Democrats holding a one-point lead, but they lost it in June’s polling.

This is because the apathetic morons who voted for the current crop of “leadership” in this country have no blessed clue as to who exactly controls the purse strings in this country.

In the 2006, Democrats were handed the majority because fiscal conservatives in large part stayed home on election day. Combine this fact with SanFran Nan (aka the Wicked Witch of the West) and her relentless culture of corruption BS and the fence sitters (aka the easily manipulated) voted for her and her buddies – the true culture of corruption – and they have been controlling the purse strings of this country for the entire 2 year period cited in the poll.

Fiscal conservatives stayed home because incumbent Republicans did little to nothing to reign in spending. They were acting like Democrats and fiscal conservatives believed that if the nation was going to approve of out of control spending they should have the genuine article – Democrats.

According to Article I of the United States Constitution, Congress alone controls the national treasure. The President can only propose a budget. It is up to Congress to approve of that budget. And they usually do. Combined with their own set of pet projects that we like to call PORK. So when we have a President who has a lust for spending the people’s money, and Congress piles more spending on top, the people then go broke. We have. And the morons have finally noticed.

This is nothing that we didn’t warn all of you of before you elected Obamaramadingdong. The Man with the Middle Name Hussein is a living, breathing, example of the accuracy of the Peter Principle. He has been promoted – BY YOU – to into a position of incompetence and we have YOU to blame.

A Gallup poll also confirms that the president’s personal ratings are high, but the underlying data less so. While 67 percent of voters give Obama personal favorable ratings and 61 percent approve of his job performance (Rasmussen has his job approval lower, at 55 percent), they give him much lower ratings on specific issues.

Gallup shows Obama getting only 55 percent approval on his handling of the economy (down from 59 percent in February) and finds that only 45 percent approve of his handling of federal spending while 46 percent approve of his treatment of the budget deficit.

This is because he sees everything through the rose colored glasses of a 1960s hippie. Socialism has always been the true goal of liberals and we have the makings of their revolution in place. The press selected him and you elected him.

There is a book that I’d like to recommend to all of you called NIKITA’S PLAN by Stephen Kenner. Although this book is a work of fiction, it is somewhat reflecting what is happening in this country thanks to the election of this closet communist named Obama.

A short history lesson from the Prologue of NIKITA’S PLAN:

A bulbous, obnoxious man stood up and said in his rough, loud voice, in Russian, “We will bury you!” He wasn’t talking to the world. He was talking directly to the United States. Nikita Khrushchev could barely stomach Ike, and he absolutely hated John Kennedy. No one really took much notice of that statement. After all, Nikita was promising on a monthly basis to blow up the U.S. Two weeks later, he clarified that statement. “We will not bury you with weapons. YOU will bury yourselves from WITHIN.” During the following months we started to learn exactly what he meant. Khrushchev laid out subtle comments about our education system, our court system , our politics, but especially little hints about our news media. It’s strange how one man could have the audacity to think he would be powerful enough to bring down an opponent in such a devious way. But even when he told us his plans, we ignored it.

The American left has been the not-so-stealth agents of the former Soviet Premier since the very radical 1960s. Those who were teenagers then or children of the hippie generation are running the country now and it shows. These are the people who went into education and taught or are teaching your children. These are the people who entered institutions of higher learning to teach philosophy, communications, and journalism. These are the people who have revised history in order to portray the settlement of the new world and everything American as evil. These are also the people who have infiltrated the legal system and brought us decisions like Roe v. Wade and currently sit on the federal bench. Is it any wonder why the nation is headed to European style socialism at a time when even Europe is beginning to lean right?!?

As it becomes clearer that the deficit caused by spending has landed us in a new economic crisis, entirely of Obama’s own making, his popularity and job performance are likely to drop as well.

The old recession — that the public says was caused by Bush — shows signs of winding down. But the new recession and/or inflation — triggered by Obama’s massive deficits — is just now coming upon us.

If Obama refuses to cut back on his spending/stimulus plans (despite convincing evidence that Americans are not spending the money), he has three options:

a) He can raise taxes, which will trigger a deeper recession;

b) He can print money, which will trigger huge inflation;

c) He can pay more interest to borrow money, which will send the economy diving down again.

The blame for these outcomes will fall squarely on Obama’s deficit and spending policies. The fact that Americans are aware of these issues, and already disapprove of Obama’s performance on them, indicates that they will be increasingly receptive to blaming him for the “new” recession.

We have begun to bury ourselves from within as Khrushchev predicted with the aid of the radicals who now control the nation. Keep in mind, this CAN be reversed. All we need to do is to put forth Conservative candidates to roll back the spending. We can head off most of the Porkulous spending if we elect responsible people in 2010.

We need the state houses. Governors have the power to refuse federal spending aid. We need the US House and Senate in order to enact legislation to repeal these massive spending projects that the Socialists have enacted. And we need new legislation to roll back Obama’s massive expansion of the federal government.

For all the left’s complaining of George W. Bush’s expansion of Presidential power, Obama makes Bush look like an amateur. At least Bush didn’t have the audacity to fire the CEO of a private sector business Obama on the other hand did it.
