DOMA Being Challenged By Massachusetts

The Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 was signed into law by then President William Jefferson Clinton (from here after referred to as Billy Bob Bubba). Now I don’t think that the gay ’special rights’ activists of Massachusetts really want to oppose their beloved former President, BUT – they are.

DOMA basically says that marriage is a union between a man and a woman; and same sex marriages performed in states where the definition is otherwise do not have to be recognized in states which have a differing definition of marriage. This has the libtards of the Prissy State up in arms.

First off the Massachusetts law allowing same-sex unions to be considered marriage is an example of Judicial Legislation along the same order as Roe v Wade and Abortion. Their state legislature and their then Republican Governor, Mitt Romney, passed and signed into law a definition of marriage as being between a man and a woman. The sexually challenged in Massachusetts got their proverbial panties in a wad and sued. The Massachusetts Supreme Court then overstepped its Constitutional Authority and legislated [read also made law] from the bench by overturning the enacted law and gay marriage in Massachusetts was born.

NOW! According to the Ohio State Constitution, marriage is defined as a union between a man and a woman. This was amended by the people of our state several years ago through a ballot issue. It also passed overwhelmingly hence the reason why it has yet to be challenged. Under the provisions of the DOMA, Ohio does not have to recognize any marriage performed in Massachusetts that is contrary to Ohio’s Constitution.

Using an equal treatment under the law argument against DOMA, the ’special rights’ advocates of the Prissy State’s gay community are attempting to do an end run around the laws of Ohio and other states that do not have to recognize these sham unions performed under the authority of the Massachusetts Supreme Court.

My concern, if this were to reach the Supremes in Washington before Ruth Bader Dunderhead – former General Counsel to the largest Communist front organization in Amerca namely the ACLU – retires and Sotamayor ends up being confirmed, what will this do to state’s rights? Doesn’t Ohio have the right to say this is marriage and anything else is not? I believe the 10th Amendment says we do.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

My examination of the Constitution, all 7 Articles and 27 Amendments (including the repealed 18th), does not reveal any authority of the federal government to regulate, oversee, or otherwise interfere with marriages in the United States. Nor does any of the 7 Articles or 27 Amendments prohibit any of the states to do so. Therefore, under Amendment 10, the states have the supreme authority in this matter. Ohio bans gay marriage and under DOMA we are free to not accept such unions performed in other states.

How many people in this country would a change in the definition affect anyway? Less than 2% of the population. The libtarded activists of the gay community want to upset the social framework of this nation as well as relations among the states for less than 2% of the population?!? Somebody needs a hug because they aren’t getting their way. Don’t count on one from me. You would be more likely to get spit on.

Gay ’special rights’ activists like to pin a label on people like me – homophobe. This term is a blatant lie. A phobia suggests an irrational fear of something. In their use, of homosexuals. I don’t fear homosexuals. I’m disgusted by them.

This effort by the gay ’special rights’ activists in Massachusetts along with efforts to label opposition to the homosexual agenda hate crimes need to be seen for what it is. Additional examples of the liberal power grab. Their effort to dictate to you how you will think and how you will act. But they aren’t going to stop there. They are going to dictate to you where you will live, work, and how much money you can make. They will eventually attempt to tell you how big your family can be.

George Orwell anyone?
