Michelle Bachmann’s Tea Party

Representative Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) has mobilized a national Tea Party of her own with just one a few words with Sean Hannity on Fox News Friday night. Buses are being filled as we speak to join her on the steps of the nation’s Capital on Thursday, November 5th at noon. Then Rep. Bachmann wants to walk the halls of Congressional offices with those who answer her call to stop the most recent healthcare reform bill set for a vote by next week.

Tea Party activists in Atlanta are already hosting a One Year to Judgment Day Tea Party at the gold dome Capitol on November 2nd to give notice that Americans are willing to use their voting power as never before to rid Congress of those who will compromise conservative values—fiscal responsibility, strict Constitutional adherence, free markets, and traditional values that have framed this republic since inception.

Many of those returning to Atlanta’s Capitol for yet a third Tea Party there since February will be boarding buses organized by two Facebook friends, Harriet Carter and yours truly, who then contacted organizations to join forces. Not a unique idea but the result was a combined effort of forces between Resist.net, Tea Party Patriots, Freedom Works, 9/12 Project and Smart Girl Nation to fill as many buses as possible on short notice.

Rep. Bachmann’s call gives Americans just five days to organize and to join her in D.C. for face to face meetings with her colleagues. Fox News show host, Glenn Beck, gave a six month notice for 9/12 Project organizers to drew 1.5 million that would march down Pennsylvania Avenue and rally at the Capital for hours the day after 9/11. As it stands now, organizers predict that there will be a least two or three buses or about 150 people leaving Atlanta on Wednesday for a ten hour trek to Washington. For some, it was just six weeks ago that they sacrificed money, time away from work, home, and loved ones to protest in D. C.

Harriet Carter of north Georgia is ready to join other activists on Wednesday calling the group Minutemen/women—those ready to respond on short notice to defend this nation. How many will answer Bachmann’s request is uncertain but what is certainly remarkable is the resolve to which they have responded so quickly.

I Hope Jesus Thinks Larry David is Funny

Posted by: admin  //  Category: Doug Giles, Guest Contributors

Larry David joined the ranks of the rank this week when he whizzed on an image of Jesus Christ on his unfunny HBO show. I think this one will come back to bite you, LD.

Yep, Larry, you should have indeed curbed your enthusiasm when you were contemplating POing Protestants and Catholics who watch HBO and buy your Seinfeld DVDs.

FYI to ludicrous Larry: We “goofy” religious folks who number in the millions in the flyovers take our God seriously and don’t take a shinin’ to tools like you urinating on that which reps our Savior. Heck, we don’t even take kindly to people like Ozzy Osbourne peeing on the Alamo.

I would venture to guess that just as San Antonio banned Ozzy from entering their city until he repented nine years after the fact, you might find Christians in America shunning you and your Seinfeld products like they would a ski parka during a sweaty south Florida summer.

At least Ozzy had some semblance of an excuse in that he was a blithering, tormented, drunk, drug-infested idiot at the time. What’s your defense?

What David did this week is up there with what “Kramer” did at that L.A. comedy club when he went loopy with his racist rant. I wonder if the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are going to get as indignant with David as they did with Richards, seeing that Larry whizzed on the God they worship. Hmmm. We shall see.

Hey, church, how do you feel about David deriding an image of Christ in the most despicable manner? I have many Jewish friends here in Miami and across the nation who now think of David as a weapons grade dipstick for doing this.

Wassup, Larry? We don’t see you doing such things to a picture of Moses, or the 10 Commandments, or a Star of David, or … or … Islam. I wonder why, Mr. Unfunny Man. I’ll tell you why you don’t turn your urethra on them: It’s because you’d have hell to pay. So, instead you turn to Hollywood’s whippin’ post, i.e. Christ and Christians.

So why did Larry go out of his way with malice of forethought to tick off millions of Christians? Who knows? Maybe he’s an unimaginative copycat fan of Andres Serrano. That’s a real possibility. Hey, I have an idea for the next Curb episode: Howzabout for your subsequent stunt, Mr. David, you imitate Robert Mapplethorpe’s artwork and jam a bullwhip up your tailpipe, huh?

If turnabout is fair play, I say we start making Larry David jokes such as: “How does Larry David run his fingers through his hair? He cuts the front pockets out of his jeans.”

I don’t know about you, church, but I’m getting really tired of these la-di-da Hollywood wonks waling on what we believe. Like really, really tired. And I advise that we hit them where it hurts … in their pocketbooks—effective immediately.

Finally, Larry, I hope you enjoyed the limelight and saved your money. And I sure hope that Jesus thinks you’re hilarious because if He doesn’t, it might get weird for you.

Fall Cleaning

The winds are poised to shift next week in a few major elections.  While it is an unusual thing, watching for election results on an odd year, these certainly are unusual times.  Two of these races are for the gubernatorial positions of Virginia and New Jersey.  A Republican victory in either state could start the swinging of a pendulum.

Today Virginia is one of the most ‘purple’ states in the union.  Neither red nor blue, it is a true swing state.  This is also a race with no incumbent.  The GOP has put up state Attorney General Bob McDonnell, who as of this week is running with 55% support according to a Washington Post poll.  On the Democrat side of the isle we have state senator Creigh Deeds, who is running with 44% support.

If this were New York or Texas, this would not be such a fun race to watch.  We typically know who is going to win if the state is solidly Democrat or Republican.

But this is Virginia, a state with an outgoing Liberal Democrat Governor, and a republican majority in the 100-seat Virginia House of Delegates.  (The Republicans currently hold 53 of those hundred seats.)  This race could go either way, but the fact that McDonnell is 11 points ahead in a state that went for Barack Obama in last year’s election.

Last year when Barack Obama won with 365 electoral votes to John McCains 173, the media and the entire Democrat party wrote off conservatives and Republicans as a dead breed.  It was the first time a Democratic presidential candidate had won with more than 50% of the vote since Jimmy Carter. (With that landslide 50.1%)

Just nine months into his presidency we are witnessing the results.  Massive spending increases.  I never thought anyone could outspent President Bush, but Obama proved me wrong in a matter of weeks.  He has continued to push a massive health care bill that the public does not want in any poll.  He has delayed sending troops to Afghanistan, however he has mulled sending them to Fox News.  The Tea Party movement is the beginning of what could be a huge backlash towards the arrogant presumption that the Whitehouse and entire democrat party have exuded since November of last year.

In New Jersey you have a different entity altogether.  This is one of the most liberal, one of the most ‘blue’ states in the union.  Liberal Democrat incumbent governor Jim Corzine is in a race too close to call in any poll taken.  GOP challenger Chris Christie has been outspent 24 million to 9 million.  The fact that he is a stones throw away from winning this race with that kind of money being thrown to derail him is amazing.  Some would say a miracle, but then Richard Dawkins would have to step in and write a book about it.

It would be an upset and a gift to the state of New Jersey if Christie pulled out the win here.  It would be a bigger message to Democrats in conservative states or districts if either of these two GOP challengers won.  It would signal that President Obama’s policies are not the current trend they were broadly proclaimed to be.  Politicians are scared of never getting re-elected, and they have a gift for seeing which way the wind is blowing, and switching sides.  Worrying about re-election would make some of them in conservative areas less likely to want to help Nancy Pelosi push her socialist agenda further.  It would be a potential gift for those of us who oppose that monstrosity of a health care bill she put forth Thursday, all 1,990 pages of it!

Finally, there is a race in my home state of New York in the 23rd congressional district.  Here we have a very conservative district in New York (One of the two some would say) where you have a three-way race.   Republican John M. McHugh was tapped to be Secretary of the Army on September 21st, so Governor Paterson of New York called for a special election.  Under New York law, there are no primaries for special elections.  If there had been, Doug Hoffman would have probably cleaned the clock of Deirdre Scozzafava.  She is a liberal Republican member of the NY state assembly, but secured the party’s nomination.  On the democrat side, attorney Bill Owens was nominated.  Doug Hoffman was nominated on behalf of the conservative party, who felt that Scozzafava was far too liberal to represent them in their district.

This race truly caught fire when Sarah Palin threw her support behind Doug Hoffman.  She still carries a lot of clout with conservatives in this country, and now Doug Hoffman is showing in the polls enough to possibly pull off an upset.  Palin has said she does not support a third-party movement in this country, but rather wants to show the Republican Party that they could pick better candidates.

I wish Hoffman, Christie and McDonnell luck.  Any of these three winning would be a blessing, and it would be nice for a change to see the looks on the Democrats faces when they realize that their policy’s are truly not a well-received as they believe.  They still all need our support though, so let’s keep it up!!

Pakistan’s growing anti-US anger

Protesters in Pakistan - BBC article.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is enjoying pomp and circumstance while American troops get butchered because of dithering leadership from above. No surprise there, as no one wants to take responsibility for Afghanistan. The real action is in Pakistan, where Al Qaeda operations are run. Someone didn’t bother to tell these good souls that it’s not drones that equal terrorism, but terrorists their intelligence services are protecting.

The Future is Bright: Left is Fueling the Right

Posted by: John Gonzales  //  Category: Blog Entries

The hyper-Liberal University of Colorado is a dangerous place for a politically “right-minded” individual such as me. But the LUC is where I find myself today. During Barack Obama’s “historic” campaign for the presidency, if I were to so much as imply anything resembling a less than Obama-tronic viewpoint, I was faced with piercing glares and almost certain doom. Fortunately, the minds behind those glares were bereft of intelligent logical arguments with which to engage me, other than the obligatory oft regurgitated talking points spewed forth with the standard dusting of vile and anger.

Like so many other Obama voters, particularly those in my age demographic, they hadn’t seriously considered the “why” behind their support and vote; they simply fell into the politically correct school of lemmings and accepted those talking points as gospel truth. Praise be to Obama; and why not, it was just the thing to do, and everyone was doing it.

However, a day of lemming-reckoning is looming on the horizon; the nets are cast. Someday soon, my brothers and sisters here at LUC will graduate and find themselves catapulted into the “real” world; yes, some of us do understand that there is a “real” world outside the real and virtual halls of higher liberal education. Once there, among the businessmen and woman that are the engine and backbone of this great society, the lack of rationale girding their ideology will be exposed and they will find themselves without the conviction of their beliefs, forced to confront…reality. For many, it will be the beginning – not the end – of their real-world education and the birthpangs of their true political identity; and I maintain that to an increasing number of them, the Right will feel much more right, than the Left.

The Left’s success in assimilating into its collective liberal-think ideology, the majority of undergraduate students here in Boulder and on university campuses nationwide, has resulted in shoring up the ranks of a dangerous force of democratic foot soldiers. That is, if the recruits and current soldiers graduating from our Liberal University boot camps had any real ammunition beyond the blanks of their learned sound bites. After completion of this four year LUA boot camp, a handful will take the next steps (grad school) towards becoming officers (professors) in the LUA. But the majority of these recruits, following completion of their four-year training, will be expected to be the Democrats’ boots on the ground, entering into their tour of real-world duty, poorly equipped and deluded by flawed ideology.

They will quickly find themselves on the wrong side of this battle, and I fully expect that a significant number of my collegiate brothers-in-arms will find that the fortitude required for this war is not found in a soundbite, but in the courage of deep and earnest convictions. Once this truth is realized, they will seek out the high ground, and will find it among the ranks of young conservatives, here at YoungGun Conservative and at a growing number of similar detoxification websites.

I present this opinion to you as one swimming upstream among the lemmings, and as one who has recently witnessed many of my peers who, having voted for the “One” and having watched the actions taken by this administration over the last year, are rapidly losing faith in their “fearless leader.” The vapidness of his campaign hype has now emerged, and no amount of drill sergeant discipline can mask this obvious truth.

Too much emphasis on unity, hope and change have been exposed as fluff; cotton candy politics, and well-educated Americans have called the bluff. It’s time to show your hand President Obama; and it appears to be nothing more than a card made King by a bunch of Jokers. But here’s where it gets really fun. You see, we’re drawing into a full-house Aces high: the educated youth of America who are witnessing first-hand, the rise and fall natural to the Democratic Party. We too are the people, and along with those of you who have blazed this conservative trail before us, we believe in Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

My generation is waking up, and we recognize that we must employ the courage of our conservative beliefs and convictions now and tomorrow. We know that we can no longer be content with being followers, but are willing and prepared to take the baton of leadership for this new American conservative movement and lead us all into the twenty-first century. Take heart, brothers, reinforcements are here.

Clinton cites Pakistani inaction on al-Qaida haven

Posted by: Rudy Carrera  //  Category: News, Rudolph Carrera

Do you remember when then-Senator Obama had made threats to invade Pakistan to catch Osama Bin Laden? It was a tool for him attack the Bush Administration for not playing hardball there (which, I feel, he should have). No one with any sense, however, actually thought he was serious about invading the nearly-failed state.

It seems that Hillary Clinton, our nearly-failed Secretary of State who still dreams of being Mrs. President, is castigating Pakistan for not taking the opportunity to knock off OBL. It’s pretty sad when Mrs. SOS has more testicular fortitude than the POTUS. Though I doubt she means it, I’m glad someone in this infernal administration has the common sense to call a spade a spade in Pakistan.
