Cap And Healthcare?

Posted by: RedStateJD  //  Category: Blog Entries, News, RedStateJD

Well what a week!  Two weeks actually, since my last post!  It’s been a whirlwind of topics come and gone in that time.  That’ll learn me to be lazy!

I was utterly appalled last night when I learned that the Cap and Trade (Cap and Tax?) bill passed the house.  I was not surprised, with the clear democrat majority, but I was surprised at the number.  Close to thirty democrats voted against it, and eight republicans voted for it.  I know exactly what that does and does not mean.  It does not mean that 30 democrats voted their conscious and went against their party’s core religious belief of Global Warming.  (Ugh!  More on that in a moment.)  I believe that there were thirty or so democrats who were voted in, in largely republican or conservative districts that they felt would be in danger of being ousted when people get ticked off at how much their electrical bills skyrocket.  Half of the country gets their electricity from coal.  When this bill goes into effect, it will double and triple the cost of power to people in coal-fire areas just so the companies can stay in business.

They voted strategically.  If it didn’t pass once, they could always pass it again with their clear majority.  They have the numbers do to so easily.  The eight republicans who turned, should be ousted.  I’m not such a blanket-conservative that I want more Arlen Spector’s in the party.  I’d rather make way for a Marco Rubio (www.marcorubio.com) or a Chris Lee. (chrislee.house.gov)  But no matter.  They got their thirty pieces of silver I’m sure.  I just hope they don’t act surprised when they get sucker punched by the Romulans, ermm, I mean democrats.  They should not act surprised when the Republicans don’t show them they love anymore either.

This Cap’n Tax Bill is in effect, the largest tax increase in American history.  It could eliminate up to 2.5 million jobs, and will double and in some cases triple the cost of a families energy bill.  There are cleaner and more efficient ways of producing electricity here in the Twenty-first century.  It’s called nuclear power.  Of course this is a big huge evil horrible environmental issue that once hurt some ducks in Russia, so we can’t have any of that!!!

The French have 70 percent of their power in cheap clean nuclear reactors, and we have less that 25 percent?  Please explain that to me god!

Anyone who wants to open a new coal plant will be crippled by the taxes.  Those in existence will not be able to support their current work force.  They will have so many new taxes that it will raise the prices of electricity for everyone else.  Businesses and families will suffer.  Some will have their lights out, or have to go without heat in the winter.

All of this is in the name of Global Warming.  Oh whoops!  Sorry!  I got this memo here, it’s now called ‘climate change’ since global warming cannot be proven after fifteen years of hard research.  Nowadays there are more scientists who are against it than are for it.  They are not let into the debates.  Only a regime with something to fear does not welcome in the opposing side.  Those who know they are right, have nothing to fear from hearing the opposing view.  Those who do not stand on sturdy ground do not wish to be rocked, as they might slip and fall.

More scientists are turning their backs on the idea of global warming.  In fact more and more now believe that the Earth might be moving into a ‘global cooling period’ where temperatures might drop.  This is not because of man-made activity, but because of the natural cycle of the planet.  For years the sun has been spewing off gigantic solar flares, that were causing temperatures to rise across the entire solar system.  (They even melted the ice oceans of Jupiter’s moon Europa, which is twice the distance of the sun from us…Oh hell, can’t be related right?)

In the 1970’s they wanted us to believe in a man made form of climate change.  It was believed that the oceans were melting, the atmosphere was in danger, and we would all be starving.  The only answer was to cut down on our factories and limit our population.  They called it:  Global Cooling!  Well, long story short no one believed that bunch of Bulls**t, so they repackaged it and sold it to us again as Global Warming.  Now they just call it climate change.  What a wonderfully passive phrase.  It doesn’t sound like it means anything, yet it does!  The climate is changing!  I guess our coal plants that employ thousands and thousands of people cause the last ice age to melt too, twenty thousand years ago.  I guess the Neanderthals went extinct because of gasoline and coal, not because of the receding woodlands and cold habitat of Europe that they were built for.

Environmental change has wiped out civilizations and animals of all kinds for thousands and thousands of years.  This is the way of things.  You would figure that all of these people who are so hot for nature would understand it.  They believe in evolution, one of the definitions of which is ‘change over time.’  Why can that not include the planet?

Time to go save some money.  It’ll be nice to have to pay higher taxes.  The democrats have told me I like doing that.  ::rolling eyes::

Oh yeah!  I almost forgot!  There was another thing to my title.  Socialized Healthcare.  Just Say No!  :)

A Good Compromise Leaves Everyone Pissed…

Well here we are once again, with Obama talking about hope and change.  Or is that hope, FOR change…from my pockets?  Oh nevermind.

So Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again shown us why he is a true leader of character and strength, and why ours is an inexperienced and ideological ‘community organizer.’  Obama put his foot down and ordered Bibi to come up with a two state solution over the next two months.  Luckily my favorite Mid-east leader did not fail to disappoint!  He did not wait more than two weeks to deliver a speech and plan.  However, the palestinian people would not get any part of Jerusalem.  Or weapons.  Or control over their airspace.

I like that, a solution that would actually PROTECT the Israeli people.  Just like you would expect from a leader that cares about his people.  The way Obama expected him to compromise, in my view, was to have him give the Palestinians all of their land and military equipment, eject the jewish people into exile, and then sign a mutual aggression pact with Iran.

Maybe Obama should study up more at home, and not try and tell Benjamin Netanyahu how to run his own country.  There are only few instances in which I am for interjection in other countries.  Iran, is one of them.

Benjamin Netanyahu gave a speech to a general assembly in 2006 in Los Angeles.  ”It’s 1938, and Iran is Germany.” was the most chilling quote he gave.  When people see history repeating itself, and they see a second genocide looming on the horizon, it is time to mobilize.

Netanyahu also ripped into those who believed that Irans quarrel was merely with Israel.  He said that their quarrel was not just with Israel, it is only first with Israel.  Just like Hitler was not only aiming at the Jews, he just aimed at them first.  He doesn’t think they get it, he thinks that they really believe this is just a Jewish problem.  Another Quote:

“They think that the militant Islamists hate the west because of Israel.  They’ve hated the west for hundreds of years, before there was an Israel!  In fact it’s the other way around, they don’t hate the west because of Israel, they hate Israel because of the west!”

It’s 1938, and Iran is Germany.  It is arming itself, and has a massive energy supply underneath it’s country to do so.  Oil, Natural Gas, Uranium are all at it’s fingertips. Right now, our president is a reborn Neville Chamberlain, and is all about appeasement and compromise.  While I do not believe in worldwide government conspiracy’s, I do believe in sheer idiocy.  I do also believe that there are certain world leaders who DO believe in the end times, and will go to great lengths to bring them to fruition.  ((Cough-Cough – Iran’s President!))

Neville Chamberlain is once again at the helm.  I have no doubt sooner or later, that Obama will meet with Ahmadinejad and will walk away like Chamberlain after meeting with Hitler.  He will claim a deal has been reached, and he will get massive applause from the egghead peaceniks.

This time we cannot compromise.  We must oust our Chamberlain, and elect ourselves a Churchill.  Not only for the sake of our closest allies like Israel, but also for ourself. Is ANYONE that foolish, to believe it would end with one country?

His Numbers Will Decline…

There are two things in the coming months that will ensure that President Obama’s popularity will sink faster than a round skipping stone.  Health Care and Amnesty For Immigrants…

It’s not going to be pretty when it happens.  He wants to ensure paybacks for those who helped fund his campaign of course, and some of his biggest contributors were prescription drug companies.  When Bill Clinton pushed for socialized medicine in the early Nineties, most of these companies did not favor such reform as it was guaranteed to sink them the way they were organized at the time.  Nowadays they are very much in favor of it, but more on that later.

There are two ways to guarantee your sinking popularity with the American public.  The first one is the legalize 20 million illegal immigrants.  Granting them amnesty will please them and their families here, but they will not make many friends from born and naturalized citizens of the US.  Those who were born on our soil will certainly resent.  And what about the legal immigrants, who did sign their name on the guestbook on the way in?  How fair is that to them?  I’m sure that President Obama is not thinking of how those people would vote for him in 2012 as a way of saying ‘thank you,’ of course.

The second way to piss people off?  Take those twenty million new citizens, and stick them in the already overburdened health care system.  Put in long lines and waiting lists, and you’ve got socialized medicine.  Not only will there be Millions of illegal immigrants now entitled to health care, but there will also be over 30 million US citizens who will have it now on everyone else’s dime.  Swell in 50 million people into the health care system, and you have very long lines.  In Britain, they have began to ration out medicine for breast care patients, not giving it to those they deem ‘too far gone.’  In Canada, one can wait for weeks or even months for an important surgery.

President Obama is only popular nowadays because of his personality.  He gives a great speech, and that has people enamored, but enough about the press…

The drug companies want him because of all the new clients they will be taking on under his plan.  But average every day Americans will not stand for it for long.  They rose up a few years ago and fought back against Comprehensive Immigration Reform, and they will do it again.  Couple it with Socialized Medicine, and you have a mix for trouble.

We conservatives do not have the numbers in congress to stop him, we can only let him own it.  When people get angry, they will see there was an alternative offered.  The next time they go to the ballots, there will be payback for our patience.
