My wife and I are blessed to be expecting our fourth child. The grand event is Dec. 2. As you probably have guessed we have already been harassed by her doctor to get the swine flu vaccination. At work I hear repeated suggestions..”She should get that shot”, “If I were pregnant I’d get the vaccine”, ” If I had a pregnant wife.” BLAH. BLAH. BLAH.

Lets get a few things straight. First…this vaccine has been rushed through the pipeline with little testing. Original test groups in England were found to have signs of dementia. Some states have even lifted the restrictions on the amount of mercury allowed in the vaccine so as to help get more produced quicker.

Research has shown that our vaccine crazed society has a much more sickly generation of children than any other. Why you might ask? Simple, if the kids are not being exposed to the diseases guess what…they are not building any immunity to them. So now anytime a new disease comes along…..they need a vaccine. Can you say Cha-ching???

My wife will NOT be getting vaccinated, nor will I or our 3 homeschooled daughters. Why should we…….Barack and Michelle Obama have yet to get their own girls vaccinated. What do they know that we do not?????

 You probably have the read the title and are thinking….where? Iraq seems to be stabilizing itself and troops are coming home. I can’t be referring to that. The war in Afghanistan is heating up. General McChrystal requests 40,000 more troops Obama instead sends a token 13,000.  I  am not talking anout that either. The war I am referring is much more dangerous for our country because it is happening right here on own soil.

 The missles were launched at conservative media this past week when the following statement was made by White House Communications Director Anita Dunn. Fox News operates “almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party.”  Strong words and a statement that just underlines Obama’s hatred for Fox News. I don’t even think this hatred is exclusively for Fox News. Its more for anyone that dares question Obama’s motives or his decision making process.

 This is a frightening step towards censorship. Obama repeatedly in the past has refused to let any Fox News coorespondents ask questions of him. In his barnstorming tour to push health care reform on the Sunday Morning News he avoided Fox.  These probably has a lot to do with the fact that his teleprompter is not programmed to answer such things. Particularly disturbing is the fact that as always, no other media outlet seems to care.

  Another question now comes up. Is it possible that the Fairness Doctrine could be resurrected? Could there be enough votes for passage. In my opinion….no IF the bill would be voted on straight up. The Democrats would never present the bill in this manner, instead attaching it to another which is scary stuff. I still contend that this is the strategy which will get health care reform passed.

 So in closing the Obama administration again has there priorities askew. US troops are starting to lose their lives in the escalating confrontation in Afghanistan. Obama during the campaign repeatedly said we needed to be there instead of Iraq. Now faced with the reality of the situation….he punts. Instead of protecting lives he finds it more important to protect his fragile ego. During the campaign Barack presented himself as a centrist…I believe he is. His entire focus centers on himself….God help us all.

Friday 6AM: . I sit here in front of my computer screen in utter shock as I read the news….Obama has won the Nobel Peace prize. So what does this say to us? It says the world at large is more socialist than I feared. It says the world community has taken a HUGE sip of the ol’ Kool Aid.

Noon: On second thought this should not come as shock to anyone. Obama has shown nothing but an uncanny knack to bend to the worlds will. He has already stood in front of the United Nations and declared that the United States is not, nor should be considered number one anymore. He has emphatically declared that he is willing to sit at the negotiating table with terrorist regimes with no preconditions.

 8PM: After spending all day mulling this over I now think the Nobel Peace prize has been permanently tarnished. How can they elect a man that in 9 months has done nothing….abso-freekin-lutely zilch! Left Wing Wind Bag Michael Moore even acknowledges Obama has done nothing by stating “Congratulations President Obama…now do something.”

9PM: Research has yielded some interesting Constitutional stumbling blocks for this award.  Article I, Section 9 of the US Constitution states “No Title of Nobility shall by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.” The Noble Prize Committee is appointed by the Norwegian parliament this indirectly making it a “foreign state”. Now I am sure the Constitutional scholar Barack Obama will find a way around that one.

Sun 11AM: Took all day Saturday to digest this. Obama’s initial reaction was “surprised and humbled” and that he would take it as “a call to action”. Now there’s a quote! A call to action….could this spell out how he intends to deal with Afghanistan??? After all, now that the “world community” has spoken are they forecasting their expectations on him?? I now feel that yes, this was not given for anything he has done. In fact in 9 months he has done nothing internationally other than kill the missle defense system in Europe. This alone has put our own troops in danger as the following week Iran test fired a missle they claim is capable of his Israeli and US targets in the Middle East. I now firmly believe that this was awarded strictly on the basis of what the international community expects from our President the next 3 years and 3 months.

 What our President should have done was gracefully turned down the honor. He could have found some way of saying that he would not let an award like this dictate his international policy and that he in fact did not have any qualifying accomplishments compared to other sin the running. He could have but that would be against his ego. He is to naïve to see what is behind this designation.

 Time will tell where this leads his policies. I do know that as far as this blogger is concerned the Nobel Prize now ranks right up there with that shiny plastic ring I pulled out of a Cracker Jack box as a child.

I have been reading a lot of material lately and have formulated some basic tenants that I wish to share with you. No one is powerless, we all have a right and responsibility to voice our opinions and promote strong conservative candidates. Candidates who will do what is in the best interest of our country and not the better interests of the political cronies that prop them up. Candidates who understand and appreciate what the Founding Fathers established and wish to maintain it rather than manipulate it for the good of a few.

I do not believe in what this current administration and Congress prescribe for our country.
I do not believe in their stance on abortion.
I do not believe in their Marxist views on redistribution of wealth.
I do not believe as they do that America is an arrogant nation and should take a backseat to others.
I do not believe in Radical Islam and that Israel is our enemy and they should give up their land.
I do not believe we should sit down at the negotiating table with terroristic states and treat them as our equals.
I do not believe in class warfare initiated by raising taxes on those making $150,000 or more.
I do not believe in government run healthcare that in a cloak and dagger fashion funds abortions and covers illegal aliens (see yesterdays post).

These are reasons I write. These are the reasons I support strong conservatives. These are the reasons I will not lay down and sit idly by while things are manipulated under our noses. In future posts I will expand upon each of these points.

Reason #1 The plan provides illegal immigrants with health care.

Page 50, Section 152 of bill HR 3200 specifically states “Government insurance and taxpayer-funded healthcare will be provided to all without regard to personal characteristics extraneous to the provision of high-quality health-care services.” In plain English: this healthcare plan will provide health to all citizens including non-US citizens regardless of the legality of their citizenship. Now remember Rep. Joe Wilson shouting out “You Lie” in response to Obama’s speech to Congress. Barack and members of the Democrat Party contend that the bill states nothing about illegal immigrants. But you must look at the full picture. On July 30 a House committe voted against Rep. Nathan Deals (R) that would have required health care providers to use the Systemic Alien Verification for Entitlements Program to prevent illegal aliens from receiving healthcare services. The amendment was killed by 29 Democrats voting against it. Now if this bill will not cover illegal immigrants why vote down such and amendment??? Also are you aware that the current laws in effect today do not allow hospitals to turn away illegals? If anyone enters a hospital for emergency care they cannot be turned away. Thus in California 46.2% of all babies born in 2004 were born to illegal aliens and paid for by tax payers?????

Reason #2 This healthcare plan allows abortions to be paid for

On the July 30 as well Repulican Joe Pitts had an amendment voted down 30-29 that explicitly stated that government healthcare would not cover abortions. If abortions are not covered why kill this amendment? Admittedly nowhere in this behemoth 1,017 page bill does it specifically state that abortions are paid for, but you have to look no further than the rulings of our judicial system in recent years. The courts have specifically stated in other cases on other programs that unless the bill specifically says abortion will NOT be covered……..abortion will be covered

Reason #3 This bill unjustly targets Seniors

Page 331, Section 1161 cuts more than $150 billion from Medicare Advantage plans without providing alternative plans. Page 425, Section 1233 creates end-of-life care consultations through Medicare reimbursements. This is where the now infamous “Death Panels” are assumed to come from What should happen to fix healthcare

Fix #1 Expansion of existing Health Savings Accounts.

If people are allowed to put more money, pre-taxed into their HSAs many millions of dollars could be saved by individuals on their healh care bills.

Fix #2 Tort Reform

Sorely missing from the Democrats’ healthcare plan is tort reform.If restrictions were placed on the rampant ability of people to sue many millions of dollars could be saved. Doctors would not be forced to prescribe multiple tests despite knowing that their original diagnosis was correct. The reason tort reform does not appear???? Lawyers are the #1 campaign contributors to the Democratic Party.

These by no means will fix everything about health insurance in the America but they are certainly worth consideration by both parties.

President Obama’s selection of Sonia Sotomayer to replace Judge Souter on the Supreme Court has raised the concerns of many conservatives. Those concerns should be noted by all.
Judge Sotomayer is by her own self definition a “wise Latina”. Now before those of Hispanic blood go up in arms let me clarify one point. I have nothing against anyone of hispanic descent rising to a position of Supreme Court Justice if they are deserving. Furthermore do not take the Republican stance on Sotomayer as being racist. We have only to look back to 2001 when President Bush appointed Miguel Estrada to the D.C. Court of Appeals. What did the Democrats do during his confirmation hearing? They filibustered him…thus denying a vote and cannon-balling the appointment of a qualified Hispanic.
New York Democrat Charles Schumer at the time stated that Estrada was like “a stealth missle – with a nose cone – coming out of the right wing’s deepest silo” Fast forward to 2009 when the same Schumer said that Republicans opposing Sotomayer would “oppose her at their own peril.” This example of illogical reasoning by yet another liberal is a scary thing.
Her rulings are yet another alarming example of just how bad of a pick Sotomayer is. In the past eight years five of her rulings have gone up to the Supreme Court for review. Four of her decisions have been over-ruled with the fifth being agreed with but sverely chastised by Supreme Justice Roberts. A rather disturbing display of ineptitude by someone that may soon join their ranks.
This confirmation has nothing to do with race other than that which Sotomayer displays herself. Her speeches can be summarized in two words – reverse discrimination. White males in her opinion are to be ruled against at all costs. More to follow on this one in the upcoming week.
